This is a uniform and personal items grouping from Sgt. Joe Pastorcich that I bought on Ebay. It came from a local estate sale in the Cleveland Ohio area. Many items are either named to the soldier or has his service number (P4229) on them. There are also a few items belong to his brother Marion Pastorcich, they have his service number (P2387) on them.

Joe Pastorcich, #35924229, was born in 1919 in Yugoslavia. He had a 4 years of high school education and his occupation was listed as machine shop and related occupations, n.e.c. He lived in Cuyahoga, Ohio until he entered the service on December 13, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio.

His brother Marion Pastorcich, #15322387, was born in 1921 in Ohio. He had a 4 years of high school education and his occupation was listed as semiskilled machine shop and related occupations, n.e.c. He lived in Cuyahoga, Ohio until he entered the service on September 22, 1942, Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio.

Joe Pastorcich, the man that wore this uniform, is one of the gallant Tank Destroyer soldiers, who recieved his basic training at Camp Hood, Texas, and later assigned as a reinforcement to the 2nd Cavalry Group during the Battle of the Bulge. Marion Pastorcich belong to the Corps of Engineers.

This is a great grouping and in all my years of collecting, I had never come across anything from the second Cavalry Group yet.

If somebody has some more information on Joe or Marion Pastorcich please don't hesitate to contact me!!
